Being on the edge of an escarpment, St Briavels can be viewed from many angles. This scene is from Bearse Common which runs between St. Briavels and Stowe, on a cloudy September day. The light and mist was quite dramatic.

My travels to central and southern France have given me a wealth of memories and subjects to paint.
